Cappuccino: Illy, Ground Espresso Medium Roast!
Breaking from my seductive usual, Kona coffee, here I am making the most of pre-ground coffee. I mean, roll your eyes. As if. Pre-ground? That's for peasants! I'm a cappuccino connoisseur!
But alas, I did drink it.
For being pre-ground, which I do understand is necessary for some people who like their coffee less fresh and magnificent – the beans lose some taste along the journey from the farm to factory to supermarket to your house – it's pretty good.
Illy is known for, from the website, "an authentic Italian coffee that is flawlessly consistent, smooth, balanced, and never bitter. Using an exclusive process, illy coffee is packed in an air-free, pressurized can that enhances and seals in the precious aromas and oils, so you enjoy the freshest taste– cup after cup."
Is it as good as freshly ground gourmet coffee?
It does work when you want a change from that. And if I may add, very delicious when added with traditional breakfast items. I ate mine with Spanish torta crisps and Irish cheese. Spanish, mind you, is as in Spain. People from Spain are not from Latin America. It gets me seeing people refer to all Spanish speaking people as "Spanish" when it's like calling all English speakers "English" if they're American or Aussies.
"Should I try it?"
Yeah, you'd probably like it. I give it 4/5 stars. Depending on how cranky I am, 3/5 stars or 3.5/5 stars. On a happy day like when I had it, a full 4. LOL. Sorry, I'm a snob about certain things for ridiculousness.
"What does it look like before the foam?"
Actually, more like this. Gorgeous stuff.
"I want it!"
